The study team began working on Phase II of the project in December 2007. A series of project meetings were held with representatives of the U.S. Federal Transit Administration, ConnDOT Policy and Planning staff and Study Team representatives to review the regulatory procedures required to file a Notice of Intent to prepare a Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed improvements to the Danbury Branch. A Study Advisory Committee meeting will be held this spring to review the project's purpose and need as well as the criteria to evaluate alternatives.
